I am a historian and am currently living in Washington, D.C. I specialize in modern Germany as well as war and society. My research interests include social and gender history, military culture, military thought, atrocities in war, and historiography. Having only recently completed my PhD, I have no formal university affiliation, although I am teaching as an adjunct at George Mason University (Virgina) and Georgetown University (Washington, DC).
